UIC Curates a Captivating Exhibit for the Swiss National Day

On August 29, 2024, the Swiss Embassy held a vibrant celebration for Swiss National Day, bringing together the spirit of Switzerland in an immersive and engaging environment. In collaboration with the embassy, UIC was proud to contribute to this festive occasion by designing three captivating booths that captured the essence of Swiss culture.

A Swisstacular experience
UIC’s design team created a visually stunning experience by featuring iconic elements of Switzerland: the Swiss Train, the Swiss Alps, and their iconic Swiss Cow, Happy Lilly.

1. Swiss Train Photo Booth
The centerpiece of our installation was a 3D Swiss Train that seemed to leap out from its backdrop, offering an eye-catching and interactive photo opportunity for attendees. This vibrant display allowed guests to immerse themselves in the Swiss train experience, capturing the charm and nostalgia associated with Swiss rail travel.

2. Ski Lift Bench in the Swiss Alps
Next, we transported guests to the stunning Swiss Alps with our Ski Lift bench. This cleverly designed seating option not only served as a unique photo opportunity but also gave guests a taste of the exhilarating alpine experience. With breathtaking backdrops of snow-capped mountains, attendees could envision themselves gliding down the slopes while enjoying the camaraderie of the celebration.

3. Life-Size Happy Lilly (Swiss Cow)
Rounding out our showcase was a life-size representation of Happy Lilly, the iconic Swiss Cow. Inspired by traditional Swiss wood carvings, this figure captured the heart and joy of Swiss culture.
